Formats

AiGenda accepts common audio and video formats: MP3, M4A, WAV, OGG, WebM, MP4. For video, AiGenda uses the audio track.

Recording title

title must end with the file extension. AiGenda detects the format by the extension in the title, not by content_type. A recording without an extension will upload, but processing will fail. A title can be up to 255 characters, including the extension. Slashes, colons, and dots inside the title are allowed.

Size and duration

  • Specify size exactly, in bytes. The storage issues links for that size.
  • The file uploads in parts of about 10 MB: you get as many links as there are parts. Learn more: Uploading a file.
  • For processing, the minutes left must cover the whole recording. A meeting bot needs at least 5 minutes left.

Duration in the file

AiGenda calculates the charge and builds timestamps from the duration stored in the file. Regular WebM files are processed, but WebM straight from the browser’s MediaRecorder is often saved without a duration. Such a file gets a duration of 0 and is not processed. Remux it before uploading:

Mono or stereo

AiGenda downmixes the audio to mono and separates speakers on its own. Stereo does not improve the result, and the file gets bigger. Mono Opus at 32–48 kbps is enough for speech: an hour of recording weighs 15–22 MB.
